Users should check the vendor advisory for updates and apply any official fixes once available. Until then, restricting access and monitoring for suspicious activity is advised. Since this is a CSRF vulnerability, implementing proper nonce verification and ensuring the nonce parameter is required in requests is critical.
Description
MemberPress plugin for WordPress versions up to 1.14.1 is vulnerable to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack due to a bypassable nonce verification in the save_profile_fields() function. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to change authenticated users' email addresses by tricking them into performing an action, potentially leading to account takeover via password reset.
