Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-92809 affects PrestaShop's psgdpr module in versions up to and including 1.4.3. The vulnerability arises because the software fails to verify that GDPR consent log entries are correctly attributed to the authenticated user. An attacker with authentication privileges can exploit this flaw by submitting arbitrary customer identifiers, thereby creating forged consent records for other customers. This compromises the integrity of audit logs related to GDPR consent.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to forge GDPR consent records for other customers, which corrupts audit logs. This undermines the reliability of consent tracking and could affect compliance auditing, but does not directly lead to data disclosure or system compromise based on the provided information.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to authenticated users who can submit consent logs and monitor for suspicious activity related to consent record creation.
