A fix for this vulnerability is available and has been applied in the affected Linux kernel versions. Users should update to the patched versions listed to remediate the issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qla2xxx SCSI driver caused an over-consumption of the response queue in the __qla_consume_iocb() function. This flaw led to the improper handling of IOCB entries, resulting in the silent dropping of legitimate firmware responses. The issue has been resolved by correctly marking the head IOCB as processed and adjusting the consumption loop to exclude the head entry, preventing response queue over-consumption.
