AI-suggested

A patch is available for this vulnerability. Users should update the Simple CAPTCHA with Cloudflare Turnstile plugin to a version later than 1.44.3 where this issue is fixed. Since this is a WordPress plugin, ensure the update is applied promptly to mitigate the risk. No alternative mitigations are specified.

Description

The Simple CAPTCHA with Cloudflare Turnstile WordPress plugin versions up to 1.44.3 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises from insufficient sanitization and escaping of the 'id' attribute in the [gravity-simple-turnstile] shortcode, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses the affected page.
