What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted or malformed SWF files to mitigate risk.

Description

libming versions through 0.4.8 have a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the r_readc() function within src/blocks/fromswf.c. This flaw can be triggered by a crafted SWF file containing a malformed or truncated RECT header, leading to a denial of service condition. The vulnerability does not impact confidentiality or integrity but causes service disruption.
