Description
CVE-2026-97578 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's media subsystem affecting the Verisilicon Rockchip VPU981 AV1 video decoder. The flaw involves improper handling of tile buffer division by zero and unchecked writes to the tile_info DMA buffer, which could lead to memory corruption. The issue is fixed by validating the divisor and limiting descriptor writes to the buffer size.
