A fix is available that replaces the unsafe napi_gro_receive() call with netif_receive_skb() in the PTP packet finish path. Users should apply the vendor-provided patch or update to a fixed kernel version to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A concurrency issue in the Linux kernel's mlxsw spectrum_ptp driver has been fixed. The vulnerability arises from unsafe concurrent mutation of the NAPI instance's GRO list when the PTP garbage-collection workqueue calls napi_gro_receive() outside the NAPI poll context. This can lead to kernel list corruption and a kernel panic. The fix replaces the problematic call with netif_receive_skb(), which is safe to call outside the NAPI poll context.
