This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official patches or upgrade to a fixed kernel version containing the commits listed in the established facts. No additional mitigation is required once the fix is applied.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter module (nf_conntrack_sip) caused an out-of-bounds read in the sip_skip_whitespace() function. This occurred when a SIP header name was followed only by whitespace up to the end of the SIP payload without a colon, leading to a read beyond the buffer boundary. The issue was fixed by ensuring sip_skip_whitespace() returns NULL on no more data, consistent with related functions.
