Description

CVE-2026-99248 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's i2c xiic driver related to improper runtime power management (PM) teardown. The issue causes a clock warning flood during device removal due to unbalanced clock enable/disable calls and incorrect ordering of runtime PM disable operations. The fix restores non-managed runtime PM handling and corrects IRQ request and release procedures to prevent these warnings.
