Description
CVE-2026-99251 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's hypervisor driver (hv) where an infinite retry loop can occur in the init_vp_index() function. This happens when the housekeeping CPU mask for a NUMA node contains no CPUs, causing the retry logic to loop indefinitely. The issue was fixed by adding checks to skip NUMA nodes without housekeeping CPUs and improving early abort conditions.
