What to do
AI-suggested
Since the device is not a cloud service, remediation depends on vendor updates or device replacement. Until a fix is provided, mitigating exposure by limiting access to the router's management interface from untrusted networks is recommended. Monitor vendor advisories for updates on patches or firmware upgrades addressing this vulnerability.
Description
The Dbit N300 T1 Pro Easy Setup Wireless Wi-Fi Router version 1.0.0 is vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) attack via its embedded boa web server. An attacker can overwhelm the device by sending a high volume of HTTP GET requests to non-existent URIs, exhausting system resources such as file descriptors and memory buffers. This leads to a kernel deadlock or system hang, disabling the router's web management interface and routing functions.
