Deskflow is a keyboard and mouse sharing app. (CVE-2026-65832)
Description
Deskflow, a keyboard and mouse sharing application, contains a vulnerability in versions prior to continuous build 1.26.0.299. A remote unauthenticated Deskflow server can send crafted kMsgDSetOptions (DSOP) values that cause out-of-bounds indexing in internal translation tables, potentially disclosing four bytes of memory or crashing the connected client. An odd option count can also cause an out-of-bounds read in the OptionsList. This issue is fixed in continuous build 1.26.0.299.

Technical Analysis
The vulnerability in Deskflow involves improper handling of kMsgDSetOptions (DSOP) values sent from a remote unauthenticated Deskflow server to the ServerProxy::setOptions() function. Specifically, a maliciously crafted option value poisons the m_modifierTranslationTable, leading ServerProxy::translateKey() or ServerProxy::translateModifierMask() to index out of bounds in the seven-row s_translationTable or s_masks arrays. This results in either disclosure of four bytes at an attacker-selected relative offset or a crash of the connected client. Additionally, if the option count is odd, it causes an out-of-bounds read in the OptionsList. The vulnerability affects multiple Deskflow versions and is resolved in continuous build 1.26.0.299.
Potential Impact
An unauthenticated remote Deskflow server can exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service (client crash) or disclose a small amount of memory (four bytes) from the connected client. There is no indication of privilege escalation or code execution. The CVSS score is 8.2, reflecting a high impact on availability and a low impact on confidentiality.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade Deskflow to continuous build 1.26.0.299 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigations are specified or required according to the available data.
