AI-suggested
A patch is available in FreeRDP version 3.32.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 3.32.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 or 3.32.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.26.04.1 or later to remediate this vulnerability.
Description
FreeRDP versions before 3.32.0 contain a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the smartcard emulation component. This occurs when SCARD_IOCTL_DISCONNECT and SCARD_IOCTL_TRANSMIT operations run concurrently on the same card handle, allowing a malicious RDP server to cause heap corruption and crash the client process.
