Until an official fix is available, organizations should consider implementing external protections such as rate limiting, account lockout policies, or multi-factor authentication to mitigate brute-force attempts. Monitor IBM's official security advisories for updates and patches addressing this vulnerability.
Description
IBM API Connect versions 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 contain a vulnerability that allows remote attackers to perform unauthenticated brute-force attacks due to insufficient restrictions on authentication attempts. This flaw could enable attackers to obtain valid credentials, potentially compromising confidentiality and integrity of the system.
