Until a fix is available, avoid enabling default typing or annotation-based polymorphism with class-name type IDs in jackson-databind. Restrict deserialization to trusted types and consider disabling polymorphic type handling where possible.
Description
A critical deserialization vulnerability in jackson-databind allows attacker-controlled classes inside generic type arguments to bypass validation, enabling arbitrary code execution. The flaw arises because the outer class is validated but generic arguments are not properly checked against declared generic bindings. This affects jackson-databind versions starting from 2.10.0 and all 3.x versions. Exploitation can lead to remote code execution, notably when combined with Spring on the classpath and attacker-controlled XML input.
