Description

JeecgBoot versions up to 3.9.5 have a missing authorization vulnerability in the AiOcrController updateById handler. This flaw allows any authenticated user, including low-privileged attackers, to modify global OCR templates by sending PUT requests to /airag/ocr/edit. Exploitation can corrupt OCR results for all users by overwriting shared Redis keys.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-108605 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in JeecgBoot through version 3.9.5 within the AiOcrController updateById handler. Authenticated users can send PUT requests to the /airag/ocr/edit endpoint to overwrite the shared airag:ocr Redis key, which stores LLM prompts for OCR processing. This unauthorized modification can corrupt OCR results globally, impacting all users relying on these templates.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows low-privileged authenticated users to modify global OCR templates, leading to corrupted OCR results for all users of the system. There is no direct confidentiality or availability impact reported, but the integrity of OCR processing is compromised.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the AiOcrController updateById handler or the /airag/ocr/edit endpoint to trusted users only. Monitor for unusual modifications to OCR templates and consider additional access controls.
