AI-suggested

A patch is available in Kimi CLI version 1.50.0 that fixes the regex to prevent quadratic backtracking. Users should upgrade to version 1.50.0 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No other mitigation is required as the fix addresses the root cause directly.

Description

Kimi CLI versions from 1.11.0 up to but not including 1.50.0 contain a vulnerability in the GitPython parse_actor_and_date() function. The issue is due to a regex pattern that causes quadratic backtracking when parsing malformed author/committer/tagger identity lines missing or having malformed trailing epoch or timezone data. This results in CPU exhaustion when processing crafted commit or tag objects. The vulnerability was fixed in version 1.50.0 by modifying the regex to eliminate overlapping matches and prevent excessive backtracking.
