AI-suggested
A fix is available and users should update their linux-azure-6.8 and linux-azure-nvidia packages to versions 6.8.0-1031.36~22.04.1 or 6.8.0-1019.20 as appropriate. After updating, a system reboot is required to apply the changes. Due to an ABI change, all third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Standard system upgrades will handle this automatically unless kernel metapackages were manually removed.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities were identified in the Linux kernel used in the linux-azure-6.8 and linux-azure-nvidia packages. These flaws affect subsystems including InfiniBand drivers, Netfilter, and network traffic control. An attacker could potentially exploit these issues to compromise affected systems. Fixes have been released in updated kernel versions, and users are advised to apply these updates and reboot their systems. Due to an ABI change, recompilation of third-party kernel modules may be necessary after updating.
