Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel algif_aead module, known as Copy Fail, improperly handles in-place cryptographic operations. This flaw allows a local attacker to escalate privileges or potentially escape a container. The issue is part of several security flaws discovered in the Linux kernel affecting the Cryptographic API, Packet sockets, and TLS protocol. These vulnerabilities could be used by attackers to compromise the system. A patch is available and included in Linux kernel version 5.4.0-1063.66.
