AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied promptly. Updated Linux kernel versions that fix these vulnerabilities include 6.8.0-1064.72~22.04.1, 6.8.1-1056.57~22.04.2, 6.8.0-136.136, and others as listed in the vendor advisory. After applying the update, a system reboot is required to activate the fixes. Due to an ABI change, third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Refer to the official Ubuntu security notice USN-8567-1 for detailed update instructions.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered affecting AMD processors and the Linux kernel subsystems. These include speculative execution data leakage on AMD processors, privilege escalation on AMD Zen 2 processors due to shared resource isolation flaws, and entropy issues in AMD Zen 5 processors affecting the RDSEED instruction. Additionally, numerous flaws across a wide range of Linux kernel subsystems and drivers were identified that could allow attackers to compromise the system. Fixes for these issues have been released in updated Linux kernel versions.
