AI-suggested

A patch is available in Linux kernel version 6.8.0-1022.22 for NVIDIA Tegra systems. Users should update their systems to this version and reboot to apply the fixes. Due to an ABI change, recompilation and reinstallation of third-party kernel modules may be required. Follow the vendor advisory at https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-8265-1 for detailed update instructions.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel for NVIDIA Tegra systems, including a critical flaw known as EntrySign affecting some AMD Zen processors. This flaw allows improper verification of CPU microcode signatures, potentially enabling a privileged attacker to load malicious microcode, leading to loss of system integrity and confidentiality. The update addresses numerous security issues across a wide range of kernel subsystems and drivers. A patch is available and users are advised to update to the fixed version 6.8.0-1022.22 and reboot their systems.
