AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied promptly. Users should update their systems to kernel versions 5.15.0-1091.93 or 5.15.0-1098.107 or later as provided by Ubuntu's security notices. After updating, a system reboot is required to activate the fixes. Due to an ABI change, all third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Following these steps will mitigate the vulnerabilities.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel affecting the Cryptographic API and SMB network file system subsystems. These issues could allow an attacker to compromise affected systems running certain versions of the linux-intel-iot-realtime and linux-realtime kernels. The vulnerabilities are addressed in updated kernel versions released by Ubuntu for their 22.04 LTS distribution.
