Published: 07/13/2026 (07/13/2026, 06:27:39 UTC)
Source: GCVE Database
Product: lowkirkuenly

Description

The npm package 'lowkirkuenly' contains malicious code that can fully compromise any computer on which it is installed or running. Because the package grants full control to an outside entity, all secrets and keys stored on the affected system should be rotated immediately from a different, trusted computer. Technical Analysis

The 'lowkirkuenly' npm package is identified as malicious software that compromises the host system upon installation or execution. The compromise is severe enough that the attacker may gain full control of the computer. Due to this, all sensitive credentials stored on the system are at risk and must be rotated from a secure environment. The package removal does not ensure complete remediation because the attacker may have installed additional persistent malicious components.

Potential Impact

Full system compromise on any computer with the package installed or running. Potential exposure and theft of all stored secrets and keys. Persistent malicious presence may remain even after package removal.

Mitigation Recommendations

Immediately remove the 'lowkirkuenly' package from affected systems. Rotate all secrets and keys stored on the compromised computer from a separate, trusted device. Conduct a thorough investigation and remediation to identify and remove any additional malicious software that may have been installed. There is no official patch or fix for this malicious package; mitigation relies on removal and credential rotation.
