Description
The npm package ade-bakso11-sukiwir contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. This malware uses autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The payload manipulates package.json files by removing private flags, altering version numbers, and continuously republishing variants to inflate developer reputation scores and pollute the npm registry.
