Description

The npm package ade-tomat69-riris contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and creates random Indonesian-themed package names to continuously republish variants, polluting the npm registry.
