Description
The npm package arif-pisang2-sluey contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. This malware uses autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names. The payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants with Indonesian-themed names to inflate developer reputation scores and pollute the npm registry.
