The npm package bnpl-blocks-atom-bnpl-badge version 35.6.8 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers endpoints. This binary is written to a hidden temporary file with executable permissions and spawned detached, enabling remote code execution. The package masquerades as a UI badge component but performs unauthorized fetch-and-execute operations unrelated to its stated purpose.
