Description
The npm package budi-takokak34-sluey contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign flooding npm with over 15,000 packages in 2024. These packages include scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants to manipulate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward system.
