Description
The npm package chai-await-dom impersonates a pino-style logger but contains malicious code that executes a remote JavaScript payload. It spawns a detached Node child process running a script that fetches and executes code from an anonymous paste host, enabling arbitrary code execution with the installer's privileges. The package name and API surface are deceptive, indicating namespace abuse to lure users into installing it.
