Description
The npm package 'checkout-postpone-until-render' version 35.2.4 contains malicious code that downloads and executes a remote binary payload. The package uses obfuscated techniques to assemble Cloudflare Workers hostnames and fallback domains to retrieve the payload, which it writes to temporary directories and executes with elevated permissions. It also includes a disguised telemetry component that similarly drops and executes additional code. The remote payload is unverified and unpinned, increasing risk. This behavior is inconsistent with the package's advertised functionality.
