Description

The npm package cici-tomat34-ruro contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign. This campaign flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024 that use autopublish scripts to generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, generates random Indonesian-themed package names, and continuously republishes variants to pollute the npm registry.
