Description

The npm package cindy-gulai9-tititugel contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign flooding npm with over 15,000 packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alter version numbers, and continuously republish variants, aiming to inflate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward campaign and pollute the npm registry.
