Description
The npm package cindy-keripik40-breki contains malicious code linked to a large-scale token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants to inflate developer reputation scores for the tea protocol token rewards.
