Description

The npm package cindy-lepet45-sluey contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign, which flooded the npm registry with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and generates random Indonesian-themed package names to continuously republish variants, thereby polluting the npm registry.
