Description
The npm package cindy-lepet92-sukiwir contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign flooding npm with over 15,000 packages in 2024. These packages use autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload manipulates package.json files by removing private flags, altering version numbers, and continuously republishing variants to inflate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward campaign and pollute the npm registry.
