Description
The npm package dewi-gembus95-apidev contains malicious code associated with the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names to inflate developer reputation scores. The malicious payload modifies package.json files by removing private flags, changing version numbers, and continuously republishing variants to pollute the npm registry.
