Description

The npm package fajar-rangi51-riris contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign involving over 15,000 packages in 2024. This malware uses autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags and alter version numbers, enabling continuous republishing of variants. The campaign aims to inflate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward system and pollutes the npm registry with spam packages.
