Description
The npm package fitri-bakwan3-sukiwir is part of a large-scale malicious campaign involving over 15,000 spam packages flooding the npm registry in 2024. These packages contain autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants to manipulate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward system.
