Description
The npm package 'node-cache-multithread' version 1.1.3 is a malicious package that contains obfuscated code executing a remote payload. Instead of providing caching functionality, it downloads and decrypts a payload from a hardcoded remote server, writes it to a temporary file, and executes it. The package misleads developers by advertising itself under a different name in its README, causing confusion and potential inadvertent installation of the malicious code.
