Description

The npm package @revizahoshii/hoshino-voip contains malicious code that compromises any computer on which it is installed or running. The compromise is severe enough that all secrets and keys stored on the affected system should be rotated immediately from a different, trusted machine. Technical Analysis

The @revizahoshii/hoshino-voip npm package is identified as malicious software. Installation or execution of this package results in a full compromise of the host system. The attacker may gain persistent control, making removal of the package insufficient to fully clean the system. Immediate secret and key rotation from a secure environment is recommended to mitigate potential credential exposure.

Potential Impact

Full system compromise on any computer with the package installed or running. Potential exposure and theft of all stored secrets and keys. Persistent attacker control may remain even after package removal, posing ongoing risk to system integrity and confidentiality.

Defensive Guidance

Remove the @revizahoshii/hoshino-voip package immediately. Rotate all secrets and keys stored on the affected system from a separate, secure computer. Consider a full system rebuild or forensic analysis to ensure removal of all malicious components, as package removal alone may not eliminate attacker presence.
