Description

The npm package tomi-dodol82-ruro contains malicious code associated with the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded npm with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. These packages use autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names, aiming to inflate developer reputation scores for tea protocol token rewards. The malicious payload modifies package.json files by removing private flags, changing version numbers, generating random Indonesian-themed package names, and continuously republishing variants to pollute the npm registry.
