Description
The npm package utomo-rujak8-apidev contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign associated with the tea.xyz token reward system. This campaign involves over 15,000 spam packages that use autopublish scripts to generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package metadata to remove privacy flags and increment version numbers, enabling continuous republishing of variants. This activity pollutes the npm registry and artificially inflates developer reputation scores within the tea protocol token ecosystem.
