Description
The npm package '@vite-tab/tab' is a malicious repackaging of the legitimate Vite project. It impersonates the original by copying metadata and hijacks the 'vite' command on the developer's system. The package contains obfuscated code that fetches and executes remote payloads, enabling arbitrary remote code execution with persistence. This compromises any system running the package, potentially exposing all stored secrets and keys.
