Description

The npm package wibowo-miemee5-riris contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign flooding npm with over 15,000 packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags and alter version numbers, enabling continuous republishing of variants. This activity aims to inflate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward campaign and pollutes the npm registry.
