Description

The @zzzcrypto/etherjs package on npm is a malicious typosquat of the legitimate 'ethers' package. When required, it collects extensive environment information including credentials and system details, encodes this data, and exfiltrates it via HTTPS to a hardcoded Telegram Bot API endpoint. The package impersonates the real ethers maintainer and uses a shared attack template seen in other malicious scoped typosquats. This behavior exposes sensitive environment variables such as AWS keys, GitHub tokens, and other credentials to attackers.
