AI-suggested

Upgrade MCP Server Kubernetes to version 3.9.0 or later, where this argument injection vulnerability is fixed. Applying this official patch fully mitigates the risk. No other specific mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

MCP Server Kubernetes versions prior to 3.9.0 contain an argument injection vulnerability in certain structured tools that allows attackers to bypass security checks by supplying specially crafted parameters. This enables injection of the --server flag, redirecting kubectl commands to an attacker-controlled API server and exposing the operator's bearer token. Successful exploitation can lead to full compromise of the Kubernetes cluster.
