Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in MicroRealEstate (up to version 1.0.0-alpha3) involves broken object-level access controls (CWE-639) and predictable ID generation patterns. These flaws enable unauthorized access to sensitive documents belonging to landlords or tenants by exploiting the deterministic nature of ID generation and insufficient access control enforcement. The issue is classified as high severity but no known exploits in the wild have been reported. There is no vendor advisory or patch information available to confirm remediation status.

Potential Impact

Attackers with limited privileges can bypass access controls to view documents uploaded by other users, compromising confidentiality of sensitive landlord and tenant information. This breach of object-level access control can lead to unauthorized data disclosure.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the affected MicroRealEstate versions and monitor for suspicious access patterns related to document retrieval.
