AI-suggested
Update Microsoft.AspNetCore.Components.WebAssembly.Server to version 10.0.14 or later if using the 10.x series, or to 11.0.0-rc.3.26522.148 or later if using the 11.x preview series. After updating, restart the debugger and development environment. Installing the latest supported .NET version also addresses the issue. No other mitigations are specified.
Description
A high-severity vulnerability exists in the Blazor WebAssembly debugger component of Microsoft.AspNetCore.Components.WebAssembly.Server. The flaw involves improper escaping of attacker-controlled values embedded in generated C# source code during debugging, allowing code injection when evaluating expressions. This affects versions from 10.0.0 up to 10.0.13 and 11.0.0-preview.1 up to but not including 11.0.0-rc.3.26522.148. A patch is available in versions 10.0.14 and 11.0.0-rc.3.26522.148.
