Until a fix is released, restrict access to the affected device's HTTP interface to trusted users only and monitor for unusual activity related to the formPingCmd functionality.
Description
Multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the formPingCmd functionality of Planet WGR-500 version 1.3411b190912. These vulnerabilities arise from improper handling of the 'counts' request parameter in HTTP requests, which is used to compose a ping command string. Exploitation requires sending a specially crafted series of HTTP requests to trigger the overflow.
