Until a fix is available, users should be cautious when enabling the device workflow grant type and consider additional validation or monitoring. Implementations should ensure that device_code parameters are properly validated as per RFC 8628 requirements.
Description
OAuthLib contains a vulnerability in its implementation of the OAuth 2.0 device authorization grant (RFC 8628). The token endpoint does not properly validate the device_code parameter, allowing an attacker who knows a valid client ID enabled for the device workflow to obtain a bearer token without a valid device_code. This affects versions 5.4.0 and later of the confluence-markdown-exporter product.
